‘Wagtail’ is in excellent condition and ready to go for 2026. A rare chance to buy one of these well-loved and well proven day boats, the hull moulding taken off a working crab boat from Blakeney. Wagtail benefits from having had a new Yanmar 1GM inboard engine fitted two years ago, with very low hours since. Hull is in simulated GRP, with original gelcoat in excellent condition. She is fitted out with varnished hardwood gunwales, knees and seats.
She has a gunter rigged mainsail and furling jib, with new tan sails made last year. The old suit of sails also comes with the boat. She has a folding pram-hood in the bow for choppier days, and the all-over cover attaches to this while not in use. The interior comprises generous varnished benches that sweep through the stern and a varnished engine box fitted with sound insulation.
A solid, sociable, safe and comfortable boat that can fit the whole family for days on the water. Running moorings in Blakeney Creek or Morston Creek, or a swinging mooring in Blakeney Pit are available to rent by separate negotiation. ‘Wagtail’ has always been professionally maintained.
